Marie Bastide is a French architect living in Marrakech for several years. She created a multidisciplinary creative studio in Guéliz: Marie Bastide Studio. In addition to architecture, she develops multiple activities such as photography, graphics in all its forms, especially with other Moroccan designers. In this collaboration with Côté Bougie, Marie creates special packaging “small boxes” to enhance original candles. Follow these instructions to frame each box.

1. Remove the interior of the box delicately unfolding the carton box and lay it on a flat surface.

2. Cut the three drawings following the foldings.

3. Put the cardboard illustration in the centre from a small framework.

4. Repeat the action with the other drawings in the candle boxes. You will have a collection of six illustrations of Marrakech. Frame and hang your art. Enjoy!

Côté Bougie Biography

Côté Bougie originates from an artisanal family house in Marrakech, specifically Sidi Ghanem. Their collections combine traditional experience with modern design, promoting Moroccan artisans and their longstanding processes. Their unique fragrances create an atmosphere most reminiscent of the rich natural environment in Morocco. The subtle perfumes used are sourced from the international capital of perfumery, Grasse. Côté Bougie encourages environmental sustainability in its products - Using 100% vegetable wax, made from renewable products and hand-braided cotton wicks for a light burn. Their containers are created using handcrafted glass, recycled and produced by the Moroccan company Kessy Verre.
